It’s that time of year again, the time to celebrate food and music. The Bite of Las Vegas festival brings together the best mix of the valley’s culinary masterpieces with some of the hottest national and local musical acts. The festival, in its 16th year, has grown over the years and this year appears to be the best one yet. With over 30 restaurants and six musical acts, this will be a fun-filled day to enjoy with family and friends. Some of the booths offer free samples of their products while others offer good discounts off the prices they charge in store. This is the one day that you can try out the appetizer you’ve had your eyes on or the main course your mouth has been watering over.

Over 30 of the best Las Vegas restaurants will be on hand to provide samples of their specialty dishes including BBQ, Mexican, Asian, French, Mediterranean and everything in between. Are you going to the event to hear some of today’s hottest musical acts live? This year’s entertainment lineup spans generations, genres and will captivate every audience. One of the headliners of this year’s Bite of Las Vegas is Matchbox Twenty, known for the hit songs “3 A.M.” and “If You’re Gone.” The group’s latest album, “North,” was just released on September 4, 2012 and the first single off this new album is “She’s So Mean.” Another star to take the Bite of Las Vegas stage will be “American Idol” season 11 winner Philip Phillips. After winning “American Idol” in early 2012, this rising music superstar has been busy touring and recording. He will take to the stage to perform his single “Home” and other fan favorites.

The rest of the entertainment lineup is sure to please this year and includes Counting Crows, Ed Sheeran, Rebecca Ferguson and Tristan Prettyman. General-admission tickets are available for $13 plus tax and fees and can be purchased online at Kids under six years old are free to attend and parking is available next to the festival for free. VIP tickets are available for $60 plus tax and fees. The VIP ticket includes entrance to the event, a special elevated area for great viewing of the stage and complimentary food and drinks (non-alcoholic) throughout the day.

TIP: Attendees can get a $2-off coupon at local McDonalds restaurants and use the coupon on event day to save money on tickets purchased at the door.
