This privately funded museum is located the historical Fremont Street area in the Neonopolis complex downtown. With more than 20,000 square feet of exhibit area, it is one of the best art museums in Las Vegas. Special education programs and cultural events are designed to enhance the quality of life and make art more accessible to the local Las Vegas community. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. General admission is $3 per person, with groups of five or more discounted to $1 per person.

Art greets everyone who enters The Bellagio Hotel. Floors covered with Italian mosaic tiles featuring intricate flowers and birds, along with the always-changing indoor, botanical gardens, make this hotel a uniquely different artistic experience. It came as no surprise when owners announced the opening of first world-class art museum in Las Vegas. In addition to its regular collection of works from masters like Renoir, Picasso, Degas and Leger, the gallery also hosts special shows with impressive works on loan from other galleries and museums. It is open Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children under 12 are free, but must be accompanied by an adult. General admission for Nevada residents is $12 with Nevada ID; however, Wednesday is “locals’ night” at a reduced price of $8.

Las Vegas often rocks the world by being innovative and nontraditional. One of best art museums in Las Vegas is also the most unusual. Ever wonder what happened to all those old Las Vegas neon signs? Many famous mid-century and modern signs have found a second home in “The Boneyards.” Studying the 150 historic signs is a favorite pastime for aspiring local artists. Guided tour appointments can be made by telephone only through the museum’s administrative office. Office hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours commence Tuesday through Friday, twice daily at noon and 2 p.m.; on Saturday, tours begin at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Minimum donation is $15 per person.
