LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Police are looking into the death of a man found shot in the doorway of a home in what may have been a drug-related killing, according to authorities.
A report of gunfire brought officers to the home on the 600 block of North 10th Street around 8:10 p.m. Thursday, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.
Police found a man inside the doorway of the house suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he died a short time later. The man’s name was not immediately released pending family notification.
LVMPD Homicide detectives determined the killing may have been narcotics-related.
A 4-door red Jeep Cherokee with three people inside was seen leaving the area and may have been involved in the shooting.
The killing was the 157th homicide investigated by the LVMPD in 2016.
