LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A Las Vegas man was arrested and faces murder charges after allegedly stabbing his roommate during an argument early Sunday, police said.
The stabbing happened at the home on the 600 block of Princeton Street just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.
Two residents of the home told officers they heard sounds of a fight and screaming before finding the victim in the hallway, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he died a short time later. The victim’s name was not immediately released pending family notification.
The residents also said another roommate, Jacob Driscoll, was seen running from the home after the stabbing.
As officers were investigating the stabbing, police were also dispatched to a nearby home where a caller said Driscoll, 20, was standing outside, asking to come in. The resident did not open the door and Driscoll was detained by arriving officers.
Driscoll was arrested in connection with the stabbing and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on once count of murder.
It was not immediately clear what led to the altercation and stabbing.
