LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Las Vegas investigators are working to determine what led to the death of a man stabbed several times and dropped off outside Mountain View Hospital Tuesday, according to authorities.
The man was found just outside the doors of the hospital at 3100 North Tenaya Way around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported.
The victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds and died moments after arriving at the hospital, investigators determined. The man’s name was not immediately released pending family notification.
LVMPD Homicide detectives believe the man may have been involved in a fight in the area near Washington Avenue and Twin Lakes Drive, where he was stabbed repeatedly. The victim was taken to Mountain View Hospital by another man, who may also have been involved in the fight.
Investigators did not immediately identify any possible suspects or a motive behind the fight or stabbing. The death is the 125th homicide investigated by LVMPD detectives in 2016.
