NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — North Las Vegas police say a homicide suspect who’s considered armed and dangerous is on the loose after breaking out of handcuffs and escaping a police station.
Authorities say they’re trying to find 25-year-old Alonso Perez, who was arrested Friday morning in the shooting death of a 31-year-old man that happened last week.
The handcuffed Perez was brought into an interview room, but apparently turned the handcuffs until he broke free while the detective was out of the room.
Authorities say Perez stole a white 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
He’s described as a Hispanic male who’s 6 feet 3 inches tall and has a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white jersey with the number 21 on the back, and has an “Air Jordan” tattoo on his neck.
