LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – Las Vegas homicide investigators are searching for the man who fought with, then fatally stabbed another man at an east Las Vegas residence Sunday, according to authorities.
Officers began looking into the case shortly after the stabbing that happened on the 200 block of Sir Phillip Street around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, a Las Vegas Police statement reported.
Investigators said the victim, identified as 31-year-old Michael William Omalia got into an argument, followed by a physical altercation with the suspect. During the fight, the suspect stabbed Omalia and fled.
A friend present during the attack took Omalia to University Medical Center, where he died from multiple stab wounds a short time later.
No suspect was publicly identified Monday and the motive for the killing was unknown, police stated.
