LAS VEGAS (KXNT) – A 22-year-old man is behind bars and faces several charges in connection with an attack and sexual assault on a Las Vegas hotel employee in one of the hotel’s rooms last weekend, according to authorities.
Investigators said a patrol officer stopped Ivan Major early Tuesday morning in an vehicle leaving the area, a Las Vegas Police statement reported. Major was identified by detectives late Monday as a suspect who surprised an employee inside a hotel room at Boulder Station Hotel & Casino Saturday afternoon, then battered and sexually assaulted her.
Just hours after surveillance video of the suspect was released, public tips helped investigators identify Major as a suspect in the attack.
Major faces several charges, including sexual assault, battery, kidnapping, robbery, burglary and open and gross lewdness.
