(Las Vegas, NV) – The Vegas Strip has become the most popular destination for Uber riders.
A blog on the ride-sharing service’s website says about 40-percent of rides in the first two weeks of service in the Vegas Valley ended in the popular resort corridor. It also found “significant demand” for Uber in such areas as North Las Vegas, Henderson and Summerlin.
State officials have been citing Uber drivers and impounding their vehicles for operating without a license. Insurance company officials have warned Uber drivers their private auto insurance could be revoked if they use the vehicles for commercial purposes. Uber says it has a separate liability policy for drivers who pick up passengers.
