Guilty Plea In Palms Murder

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  The man accused of killing an aspiring rapper at the Palms hotel has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

Twenty-five year-old Jim Johnson faces up to ten years in prison when he’s sentenced in December.

Police say 25-year-old Evan Plunkett was shot in the chest during a May party at the resort’s Fantasy Tower.

Johnson claimed he was trying to intervene during a fight and slap a bottle out of Plunkett’s hand, when the handgun went off.
