LAS VEGAS (KXNT/AP) — Police are looking for the driver of a car that jumped a curb and seriously injured an 11-year-old boy.

Las Vegas police say the crash happened a little before 9:30 p.m. Monday on East Bonanza Road and North Eastern Avenue.

Authorities say a 1994 Honda Civic was in the middle lane when it veered to the right and went over the curb on the corner of the intersection.

The car struck the boy while he was standing on the sidewalk, and the driver left the scene.

The Honda was later found by a police officer, but the driver has not been found.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro police or Crimestoppers at (702) 385-5555.
