(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–The Culinary and Bartenders Unions have called for a strike against nine casinos in downtown Las Vegas starting on June first.

Unless there is an agreement by then, the union says restaurant workers, housekeepers, and other workers will walk off their jobs at 5 in the morning and begin picketing the D, Four Seasons, Binion’s Fremont, Main Street Station, The Plaza, Las Vegas Club, El Cortez and Golden Gate.

The unions have come up with new contract deals in recent weeks with big properties on the Strip, but have not had a deal for a year with the downtown properties.
