(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–A mother has issued a public appeal to find her adult daughter, who walked away from a drug rehabilitation center two weeks ago and has not been seen since.
Alexa Morgenroth has been missing since April 1st. Her mother, Doral Elkins says that her daughter had been battling drug addiction for many years and that she had escaped from a treatment center. Morgenroth was with another female when she left a gym in Las Vegas around 3:30pm. That female was found dead three days later.
“Alexa and this other girl ran away from the detox center and I’m sure it was to go and find drugs. That’s what this addiction does to you, it controls your thoughts and your body,” Elkins said.
Morgenroth is 30 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall, 90lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has several tattoos, including one on the back of her neck that says “Carpe Diem.” She also has an infection on her right arm that needs treatment. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alexa Morgenroth is asked to call Metro Police at 828-3111.
