LAS VEGAS — The UNLV football team has been ruled ineligible for a bowl game next season.
The Rebels fell short of meeting minimum NCAA academic progress standards.
The NCAA requires student-athletes to perform at a certain level measuring a school’s score using a system called the academic progress rate.
If a school doesn’t meet requirements its bowl eligibilty is at risk and the school could lose scholarships.
The academic progress rate report will be released in the summer.
