State Supreme Court Upholds Vegas Strip Club Order

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Nevada Supreme Court has upheld a $9 million judgment against the former owner of a Las Vegas strip club where a customer was left paralyzed after a bouncer beat him in a dispute over an $80 bar tab.

The Las Vegas Sun reported that the court upheld an earlier ruling in Clark County that Rick Rizzolo, former owner of the Crazy Horse Too Gentlemen’s Club, owes the money to Kirk Henry and his wife, Amy.

The Kansas couple first filed suit in Las Vegas against Rizzolo and the strip club shortly after the incident in 2001. Kirk Henry was paralyzed from the neck down.

Rizzolo was sentenced to a year in prison in 2007 and fined $250,000 for federal income tax violations.
