Hearing Set For “Thunder” Thief
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A man accused of firing a gun during a backstage robbery attempt in the Thunder From Down Under dressing area has appeared in a Las Vegas court.
Joey Kadmiri had visible injuries on his face Monday, when a judge set a preliminary hearing for April 7. Kadmiri was hospitalized with facial injuries and a black eye after being subdued by several performers during last week’s scuffle at the Excalibur hotel casino.
Kadmiri had refused to make an initial appearance Friday on charges of felony attempted murder, armed robbery, burglary and weapon charges.
He also faces kidnapping, assault with a weapon, coercion and battery charges in a November domestic violence case.
A member of the Australia-themed dance revue was treated for minor facial injuries after the confrontation.
