(Las Vegas, NV)  –  An agreement has been reached between the two sides trying to decide how 27 puppies rescued from an arson fire will be adopted.

The Animal Foundation will work together with rescue group A Home 4 Spot to place 25 of the dogs.  The two older dogs will be placed by the rescue group.

During a hearing Wednesday morning, Judge Ken Cory ruled that both sides of puppies battle would have to participate in a settlement conference to work out how the dogs would be put up for adoption.

Managing partner Donald Thompson wanted the animals to go to a private rescue group for adoption, but Clark County officials saidy he missed a legal deadline to claim the dogs.

Thompson has been trying to block a planned raffle for the dogs by the Animal Foundation, which is now caring for them.

The two sides were given 45 days to reach an agreement.

Thompson’s estranged wife Gloria Lee and co-defendant Kirk Bills remain held on multiple counts of arson and attempted animal cruelty in connection with the January blaze at the Prince and Princess Pet Boutique.
