LAS VEGAS, NV – The annual parade of haulers down Las Vegas Blvd kicks off NASCAR weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Wednesday.
Starting at 6pm from the south end of the Strip, the parade will roll north on the Blvd to Sahara before heading north on I-15 toward the Speedway.
Thursday, the NASCAR Sprint Cup teams will be testing the new rules package from noon to 4. Race fans will have access to the grandstands and Neon Garage for free.
“These are two great fan events to start the race weekend,” said LVMS president Chris Powell. “The hauler parade has brought thousands of fans to the Strip to watch the team transporters make their way to the speedway. The test session will be very vital for the teams as they prepare for both the Kobalt 400 and the remaining superspeedway races.”
The gates open for Stratosphere Pole Day at 10:30 Friday morning. The green flag drops for the Boyd Gaming 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at 1:15 on Saturday with the Kobalt 400 set to start at noon on Sunday.
