(HENDERSON, NV., KXNT)–A Las Vegas man has been arrested, accused of displaying a police badge after failing to solicit sex from a woman at a massage parlor.

Police say 44 year old Lawrence DiVetro pulled out the badge and claimed to be a police officer during the incident at Sunset Spa on Sunset Road in January. DiVetro has been booked on charges of impersonating an officer, burglary and kidnapping.  He was released on $21,000 bail.

A police statement says during the course of a massage, DiVetro demanded sexual favors from the parlor worker. When she refused, DeVitro allegedly identified himself as a Henderson Police Officer and attempted to arrest the woman. He later walked out of the business and did not return.

Detectives say when they approached DeVitro earlier this week while he was in his car, DiVetro displayed a gold badge and had handcuffs on the seat of his car.

A police statement notes “detectives were investigating the January incident and three other similar incidents in the past few weeks at Henderson massage parlors. DiVetro has been charged only in connection with the incident at the Sunset Spa.”
