School Board Delays Vote On Tax Increase
(Las Vegas, NV) — The Clark County School Board is weighing its options on a property tax increase to fund new and renovated campuses.
Board members have delayed a vote on whether to put a measure on the ballot this November.
Voters rejected a similar initiative by a two-to-one margin in 2012.
Because there’s a state tax initiative for education on the 2014 ballot, the board could delay the tax request until 2016.
