(Las Vegas, NV) — Clark County commissioners on Wednesday approved plans for the location of a new arena to be built by MGM Resorts and entertainment giant AEG.
The $350-million project will be located between the New York-New York and Frank Sinatra Drive.
The renderings show a 12 story glass and steel structure with an LED screen spanning more than 5 acres.
Groundbreaking is set for the spring of this year, with a scheduled opening in 2016.
Plans call for the arena to feature concerts, boxing, mixed martial arts, award shows and other events.
