LAS VEGAS – At approximately 4:00am Sunday, Las Vegas Metro Police Department officers on routine patrol in the area of the 5100 block of West Spring Mountain Road heard the sound of gunfire coming from a nearby business complex.
Officers immediately responded to the scene and located three individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. These individuals were transported to the UMC Trauma Center by arriving medical personnel, where one of the injured parties was pronounced deceased shortly after 5:00am. One of the two additional injured parties remains in extremely critical condition, and the third sustained what has been described as non-life threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section has indicated a lounge within the complex was closing at the normal time, and patrons were exiting the establishment. While patrons were in the parking lot numerous shots were fired, resulting in the three subjects being hit by gunfire.
The identity of the deceased individual, along with the exact cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
