6-15 Years In Police Explorer Death

(Las Vegas, NV) — The man accused of hitting and killing a 19-year-old Las Vegas Metro Police Explorer was in court Monday morning for sentencing.

Jvon Williams received 6 to 15 years in prison.  In accordance with a plea deal, he will be eligible for parole after 6 years.

Explorer Angel Valesquez was riding his motorcycle on August 1, 2013 near Sahara and Las Vegas Boulevard when he was stuck by Williams, who left the scene but was later arrested.
