Cops Fired Upon During Pursuit
(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Metro Police have arrested two people who they say fired on officer’s during a traffic pursuit early Monday morning. Both have been charged with attempted murder of a police officer.
Police were responding to a robbery and car-jacking on West Sahara during which a man and women say they were robbed at gunpoint.
Police tried to stop that vehicle near Arville and Oakey and say the vehicle fled the scene, during which several rounds were fired at the officer from the passenger side of the fleeing vehicle. A short while later, a young woman jumped from the car. She was questioned and later released by police.
Police say the vehicle continued, and two suspects tried to flee later, but were quickly apprehended.
A police report says Hugo Baldovinos, 21 years of age of North Las Vegas, believed to be the passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and that a ale juvenile believed to be the driver was also apprehended. Both suspects have been charged with numerous crimes including: Attempted murder of a police officer (two counts), Battery with a deadly weapon (two counts), Felony evading (two counts),
