(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)– After an 18 hour bargaining session earlier this month, the Culinary Workers, the Bartenders Union and MGM Resorts say they’ve reached a new five year tentative contract agreement. It could affect more than 20 thousand workers who will be voting on it Wednesday. The contract covers more than 21,000 union positions at Aria, Bellagio, Circus Circus Las Vegas/Slots A Fun, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo and New York-New York Hotel. Some of the economic terms and provision would be applied to about 5,000 additional Union positions at MGM Grand Las Vegas, Signature and Vdara, properties whose contracts expire at other times. Financial details of the contract agreement were not released. The deal between MGM Resorts and the unions is the first new contract to be reached since citywide contracts expired June 1.
