Sister-In-Law Indicted In Pregnant Woman’s Murder
LAS VEGAS (AP) _ A 31-year-old Las Vegas woman faces murder, voluntary manslaughter and child abuse charges in the killings of her pregnant sister-in-law and the unborn child.
Elinor Malansing Indico was indicted Friday. She remains in the Clark County jail.
Prosecutors say Indico stabbed 26-year-old Ashley Indico to death Oct. 16 after being asked to move out of their apartment.
Ashley Indico’s 5-year-old son summoned help from a neighbor. Authorities say the boy and his 3-year-old sister weren’t physically injured.
Elinor Indico faces a child abuse charge because the killing happened in front of the boy.
Deputy Public Defender Norm Reed said previously that the case looks like self-defense. Indico has stomach wounds that she told police she received fighting Ashley Indico for the knife.
