Las Vegas – UNLV senior placekicker Nolan Kohorst has been named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Kohorst was also one of three kickers in the nation named a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week.

The graduate of Green Valley High School matched two school records while helping lead UNLV to a thrilling 39-37 victory over Hawaii on Saturday night. Kohorst tied the Rebel record for kicking points in a game with 15 and in field goals made in a game by going 4-4. His season-long 44-yarder as time expired gave him his first game-winning kick and made it four consecutive victories for his team, which is tied for first place in the league’s West Division at 2-0.

Next up, the Rebels play at Fresno State on Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live online at http://www.unlvrebels.com.
