(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Patience Bristol, a court-appointed guardian, has been arrested and accused of multiple counts of stealing from the elderly and disabled clients she was supposed to protect.
A wide-ranging criminal complain alleges Bristol stole cash from clients to pay her own bills and expenses, and pawned jewelry and personal possessions of the clients. The counts include burglary, exploitation of an elderly person, and exploitation of a vulnerable person.
Court papers say Bristol, 38, had been appointed by the court as a private guardian over four clients. She is alleged to have looted more than $100,000 from the account of one elderly couple.
Bristol has a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.
