Charges Against Former UMC CEO Stand
Las Vegas — The State Supreme Court has decided to reinstate nine charges against former UMC CEO Lacy Thomas.
Thomas is accused of directing millions of dollars in hospital contracts to friends from Chicago. The indictment says Thomas was charged with entering into contracts for UMC with Frazier Systems Group, TBL Construction, Premier Alliance Management LLC and Crystal Communications LLC.
The Nevada Supreme Court said counts of theft and misconduct by a public officer should stand, however they dropped the count that deals with Thomas allegedly giving a contract to Superior Consulting.
