CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Public Utilities Commission will hold a consumer session Wednesday to take public comment on Southwest Gas Corp.’s annual rate adjustment.
State law requires natural gas utilities to file annual rate adjustment applications to review the reasonableness of gas costs over the past year.
According to PUC staff, the average monthly bill for residential customers in southern Nevada would increase about 3 cents during the summer and 11 cents in winter under the utility’s proposal.
Northern Nevada customers would see an estimated monthly decrease of 4 cents in summer and 18 cents in the winter.
The consumer session at the PUC offices in Carson City begins at 6 p.m., and will be video conferenced to agency offices in Las Vegas
