2nd Arrest Made In Henderson Mall Shooting
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a second man has been arrested in an apparent gang shooting that left one person wounded in January outside the Galleria at Sunset mall in Henderson.
Police say 26-year-old Ellis Alfred Banks was arrested Thursday and jailed in Henderson pending a court appearance on attempted murder with a weapon, conspiracy and discharging a firearm charges.
Records show that 28-year-old Marquell D. Scott was arrested July 24 on similar charges. He is being held at the Clark County jail pending an Aug. 13 preliminary hearing.
Henderson police spokesman Keith Paul tells the Las Vegas Sun the two men fired a total of 12 shots.
23-year-old Lionel Bowen was wounded in the elbow as he ran from them outside the mall on Jan. 26. Bullets also hit nearby vehicles.
