CCSD Expects Record Numbers For Bus Service
(Las Vegas, NV) The Clark County School District’s Transportation Department is getting ready for the upcoming school year by reminding parents/guardians to register their students for bus service.
CCSD bus drivers transport more than 100,000 students each day, which includes 19,000 stops and 9,000 door-to-door special needs stops. The Transportation Department is committed to providing safe, timely, efficient and courteous bus transportation services to all eligible students.
“Parents can go to the CCSD website and as long as they have their student ID number and birthdate, they can verify if their student is eligible and where their bus stop location is,” says Lauren Longmire with the CCSD Transportation Dept.
“If parents want to call and talk to someone love we can assist them there as well as the back-to-school fairs that begin Saturday, August 10th, says Longmire.
The Transportation Department’s call center is now open and can be reached by calling (702) 799-8111. Call center staff are expecting to answer thousands of calls before the first day of school.
To help meet this need, call center hours have been extended to later in the evenings and on weekends.
Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Parents are strongly encouraged to register their children for bus service as soon as possible to avoid delay. Accessing the Transportation Department’s website is the fastest way to receive accurate information.
