Amnesty, Weddings Offered At EDC
(Las Vegas, NV) The Electric Daisy Carnival is set for this weekend as hundreds of thousands of people will converge on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the party of a lifetime.
It’s a party of epic proportions in Las Vegas as the world’s most popular DJ’s will lead carnival attendees into a whole other world of entertainment. Metro Officer Bill Cassell tells KXNT the role the department has during the carnival.
“We set out to create an environment that is both enjoyable for the people who go the EDC, and a safe event. We have to balance those two things,” says Cassell.
Metro will also give attendees the option to get rid of any unwanted narcotics.
“They are going to be 25 amnesty boxes where someone can walk up and throw anything they may have accidentally brought in to the EDC into that box with no questions asked,” says Cassell.
The 2013 carnival is the third for Insomniac, the group that puts on the event, in Las Vegas. It is expected to draw record crowds of more than 100,000 per day.
Las Vegas has always been a place where lovers take the plunge and decide, at least for a night, marriage is a great idea. Viva Las Wedding Chapel is offering up traditional Elvis-style weddings until 3am each day.
