(Washington, DC) — House Republicans are hoping to revive the stalled nuclear repository at Nevada’s Yucca Mountain.
GOP leaders have called for $25 million in funding at the site northwest of Las Vegas in the next fiscal year.
The Obama administration has not authorized any funding for Yucca Mountain.
Nevada’s congressional delegation has successfully blocked new funding for storing high-level nuclear waste in the Silver State.
