LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas judge is hearing evidence before deciding if a 26-year-old strip club dancer should face trial in state court on a felony driving under the influence charge in a crash that killed a 33-year-old man.

Family and friends on both sides are in the courtroom where a prosecutor is alleging that Shauna Diane Miller had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit and a marijuana level more than five times the limit when the Hummer she was driving plowed into a Ford Escort.

The crash a little before 7:30 a.m. March 23 killed James White.

White’s 2-year-old son was in a car seat. He received minor injuries.

White told investigators she took Xanax and drank beers at work overnight at the nearby Spearmint Rhino club.
