(Carson City, NV) — A bill to create state-run medical marijuana dispensaries has cleared the Senate by a 17-to-4 vote.
The measure would open dozens of outlets across Nevada, along with state-regulated pot growing farms. It must pass the Assembly before it goes to Governor Brian Sandoval’s desk.
Nevada allows pot for medical purposes, but a federal judge rules the current law is unconstitutional because patients have no way to acquire marijuana.
