(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Family and friends turned out for a mid-day funeral service Friday for the 15 year old who died when he was dragged and run over by an SUV as he tried to receive his iPad, which was snatched from him by robbers.
St. Frances de Sales church on North Michael Way was packed with mourners for 15 year old Marcos Arenas, including classmates from Bonanza High. He was remembered by his friends as a funny, mild-mannered guy.
“He was the sweetest, loving, most fun kid ever. I mean, no one didnt like him”, said Cassandra Allen, the mother of one of Marcos’ best friends. “He was a great kid”, she added, as she began to achoke up and cry.
Two men charged with murder in Marcos’ death appeared in court Thursday. Jacob Dismont and Michael Solid were denied bail, and ordered to appear in court for a preliminary hearing June 7. Police Thursday night revealed the iPad taken from the teen has been recovered.
