Charges Filed In Auto-Pedestrian Death

LAS VEGAS — The woman at the wheel when a pedestrian was killed in a hit and run accident has turned herself in. Metro Police telling KXNT the driver was 33 year old Elizabeth Maza. She left the scene after hitting the pedestrian at Jones and Saddle Saturday night.Police say the victim was walking in an implied crosswalk near Jones Boulevard and Saddle Avenue when he was struck by an SUV about 11 p.m. Saturday. He was rushed to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about 90 minutes later.
The SUV, a 2004 silver Nissan Xterra, was recovered a short time later south of Jones and Flamingo Road.
