(Las Vegas, NV) — Las Vegas is very happy about this past weekend’s March Madness.
Visitors were watching games, spending money, and placing lots of bets. The revenue from the bets alone is said to total upwards of $130 million each year.
Jay Kornegay, vice-president of Race and Sportsbook Operations at the LVH says it was standing room only all weekend long, and not just in the Sportsbook. The LVH also had tournament games up on big screens in the hotel’s showroom.
No word yet on the total non-gaming revenue expected as the tournament runs for the next two weekends.
