(Las Vegas, NV) — Friday, community leaders and representatives from the tax software industry held a seminar at the Pearson Community Center in North Las Vegas to help residents prepare and file their taxes for free.
One of the programs, Free File, can do the work for you. Using Free File helps you do your own taxes online. The software provides step-by-step guidance to help you get a more accurate return.
Best of all, e-file and direct deposit continue to be the fastest way to get your refund.
With Free File, if your adjusted gross income $57,000 or less, you can do your taxes for free at the Pearson Community Center.
Some Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for the elderly sites (VITA/TCE) are making Free File available to eligible taxpayers.
