UNLV Goes Down To New Mexico, 63-56

LAS VEGAS — New Mexico’s Tony Snell scored 13 straight of his game high 21 points in the second-half as the No. 15 Lobos pulled away late Saturday to beat UNLV 63-56 and win the Mountain West tournament championship.

Freshman Anthony Bennett scored 13 of 15 points in the first half and Bryce-Dejean Jones led the Rebels with 19, including five 3 pointers but it wasn’t enough to get past the Lobos.

The Rebels and their fans now set their sights on Selection Sunday in hopes for good seed in the NCAA Tournament.
