(Carson City, NV) — A bill to legalize marijuana is being introduced in the Assembly today.
It would make Nevada the sixth state to consider decriminalizing pot for recreational use.
The measure comes from Democratic Assemblyman Joe Hogan, who says he doesn’t smoke pot, believes “We’ve wasted a tremendous amount of money spoiling teen-agers lives, chasing them around until we can arrest them for something.”
Medical marijuana is already legal in the Silver State, but the law does not give patients a way to obtain it.
Another bill in the Legislature would create a pot dispensary system in Nevada.
