Las Vegas – The 21st ranked Rebel baseball team won its 10th consecutive game with an 8-6 victory over Cal State Bakersfield Tuesday night.

It is the first time since 1991 that UNLV has had at least a 10-game winning streak. The win is coming on the heels of the Rebels being named CollegeBaseballInsider.com Louisville Slugger Team of the Week on after posting a 4-0 record last week.

The Rebels will be back in action this Friday, as they open Mountain West play against preseason favorite New Mexico at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
