(Las Vegas, NV) — The city of Las Vegas has restored several services cut during the recession.

Animal Control workers are back on a 40-hour work week, and the city says response times and answered calls are up.

Extra workers are cleaning city parks, and inspections for homes and construction sites have expanded to seven days a week.

Officials say steps to curb water and energy use have saved taxpayers more than $1.4 million a year.
