CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Harry Reid comes to Carson City to address Nevada lawmakers.
The Democratic Senate Majority Leader will speak to a joint session of the state Senate and Assembly at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
All members of Nevada’s congressional delegation traditionally come to the state capital to address the Legislature when it is in session every two years.
In 2011, Reid raised eyebrows and drew snickers when he suggested Nevada should outlaw brothels in rural counties.
His speech this year is expected to touch on policies in Washington, D.C., and renewable energy.
