Las Vegas CBS KXNT- Thursday is Valentine’s Day. It’s a day for lovers everywhere, but in Las Vegas, Valentines Day is also another day to make the cash register ring. KXNT recently chatted with executives at a well-known wedding chapel about the price of eternal love.
If you’re really in love, but really broke, keep it simple says Julie Trombley, chapel manager at Vegas Weddings. For fifty bucks, you can exhange vows at the walk-up window.
“It’s just exchanging vows between the bride and the groom,” Trombley told KXNT, “The minister is on the inside of the window.” Kind of like a visit to Jack-in-the-Box, the reporter suggested.
“Yes, but without the car,” Trombley quipped.
Fork over $300, and you get a bouquet of roses, some professional photos, a souvenir candle, and limo service. Suppose you’ve got a thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket? Add a professional videographer, hair and makeup, and a heart-shaped cake.
Want to say your vows while you hover above sin city? If you’ve got $2,200 you can get married in a helicopter while you fly over the Strip.
But the most Vegas-y of Vegas weddings is the Elvis Wedding. Most chapels offer an Elvis package, but at Vegas Weddings, Elvis is also available as an add-on, says marketing director Ann Parsons.
“You can add Elvis to any ceremony for about $349,” she said. Elvis might sing a few songs. At the option of the couple, he can even perform the ceremony. And for $1,000, Elvis will pick you up in a pink Cadillac.
