Joe looks into the the possible ban on gay scouts and adult leaders in the Boy Scouts of America. About 70 percent of all Scout units are sponsored by religious groups. Many of them, including Southern Baptist, Roman Catholic and Mormon congregations, support the ban on gays. The decision will be made in late May by the roughly 1,400 voting members of the BSA’s National Council. The Scouts’ executive board had been expected to rule on the membership policy Wednesday, but instead said more time was needed for deliberations.
