Casino To Pay $1 Million Fine
(Las Vegas, NV) — The Palms hotel has agreed to pay a $1 million fine to settle a 17 count complaint by gaming regulators.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board claims the resort west of the Strip failed to prevent illegal activity such as prostitution and drug sales at several of its nightclubs and bars.
The deal must still be approved by the parent Nevada Gaming Commission.
Palms officials have since disbanded the club’s security department and now require employees to undergo drug testing.
