(Las Vegas, NV)  —  More than two-dozen soldiers who have been in Afghanistan for the past nine months will be home in time for the holidays.

Twenty-nine members of the 405th Civil Affairs Battalion, known as the Vegas Desert Rats, will be reunited with loved ones this weekend at McCarran Airport.

Of the 32 Desert Rats who went to Afghanistan, two were sent home early for emotional problems, and a third was diagnosed with cancer early in the tour.
