(Carson City, NV) – The state has agreed to settle a $103 million lawsuit with Clark County.
The Board of Examiners has approved a plan to use $55 million in federal funds to cover the county’s indigent hospital care costs and help pay for a flyover on the Las Vegas Beltway.
The county sued the state after lawmakers took its property tax funds to balance the state budget in 2009.
Governor Brian Sandoval called it a “fair deal for both sides.”
